PublicSpend is a community of vendors that have been selected or certified by different levels and types of government. PublicSpend provides a platform for these businesses to showcase their qualifications and credentials and makes it easy for buyers to find the best local companies for the product or service they are looking to procure.
Due to its unique position, government at every level works hard to ensure that the public’s money is spent in the best possible way. Government executives seek out local businesses, encourage competition and strive to choose the most responsive and responsible vendors. Openness and transparency is encouraged at every level. Our mission is to leverage government’s diligent processes and openness by creating a single community of the best local vendors and providing the tools for these businesses to be found and grow. PublicSpend launched in Florida and covers every metropolitan area of the State. Already more than 2,200 companies are listed on PublicSpend and we hope to eventually cover the entire US. PublicSpend was founded by Stuart Lander. Stuart has spent his career building Internet based technology companies and selling their products to government. Prior to starting PublicSpend, Stuart was COO of CTSpace which was acquired by the Sword Group. In that position, Stuart frequently worked with federal, state and local government agencies and saw how powerful it could be if government qualified companies could be found in one central location. He set out to create PublicSpend. Learn more about the company on the PublicSpend Blog. |
